Decline an application (and batch decline)

Modified on Tue, 24 Sep at 1:10 PM

You can decline an application when it’s in the status of Pending Decline.

Whilst an application has the pending decline status the applicant will only see a status of 'under review' in their portal

If the application is still in Submitted FP, Final Review or Board Review status you can use the Decline button to move it to Pending Decline status first.

How to decline an application

Open the application and go to the Admin tab:

  1. Select if you would like to send a decline email

  2. If you are sending an email, check the text in the Declined Email Template and update it and Save Draft.

Select the Decline button to send the email and the application will be moved to the declined status.

Batch decline of applications

If you wish to decline applications so that emails go out at the same time you will need to complete all the steps above - except for the selecting the Decline button.

Once all the applications are in Pending Decline you are ready to batch decline them.

Step 1: Filter the applications

Go to the Applications tab in the Grant Application Manager and select the Pending Decline status.

Step 2: Batch edit

Select the applications and then the Batch Update icon.

Select the status option and the Approved status on the Batch Update window. Click the Update Applications button.

Select the Update Applications button.
